Obituary
Rodger Donald Schlottach of Owensville departed this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence in Owensville. He had reached the age of 71 years, one month, and four days.

Rodger was born in Washington, MO on February 8, 1946 a son to Arthur (Albert) and Marian (Mueller) Schlottach. He was united in marriage May 26, 1988 at Silver Dollar City, MO to Edna Anderson. Rodger was a member of Charlotte United Church of Christ. He worked in Agriculture Dairy for the NFO. He served his country in U. S. Army as Staff Sergeant from 1967 to 1970 in the 11th Army Calvary. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, a life member of The Legendary Blackhorse Regiment 11th ACVVC in Vietnam and a life member of DAV.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur (Albert) Schlottach.

His survivors include his mother, Marian Schlottach of Owensville; his wife, Edna Schlottach of Owensville; two sons, Scott Allen Schlottach of Kansas City, MO and Todd Michael Schlottach of St. Joseph, MO; two daughters, Margaret Reissen and husband Jason of Iowa, and Jerri Patrick of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Kenneth Schlottach and wife Cheryl of Owensville, and Charlie Schlottach and wife Karen of Owensville; two sisters, Kathrine (Kathy) Schlottach of Beaufort, and Janice Prenger and husband Michael of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Lane Stone and Hannah Stone both of Concordia, MO, and Cody Patrick of Springfield, MO and one great-granddaughter, Remington Stone.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Charlotte UCC Church at Charlotte. Burial will be at Charlotte Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with a VFW service at 7 PM.
