Obituary

Jack Ralph McKinney, 85, of Owensville, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur to go to his heavenly home.

Jack was born April 26, 1932, in Belle to the late Everett and Susie
(Cox) McKinney. On February 5, 1955, in Owensville he was
united in marriage to Audry Vandegriffe. He was drafted October 23, 1953, and served in the Korean Conflict until November 1955 and in reserves until November 1960. He was a faithful member of the Owensville Church of Christ.

Jack had many talents but his number one focus was living a faithful Christian life. He walked that journey everyday by being a good husband and a father to his five children.

After serving his country, he worked at Deb Shoe Co. and then at O’Sullivan Industries. Later he worked for his brother, Floyd, at the Shell Service Station in Belle for several years. In 1974, Jack and his wife Audry opened McKinney’s Bakery in Owensville. After 20 years in the bakery business, he retired at age 62 to spend the rest of his life on his farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl, Paul, Bernie, John, Eugene; and sisters, Thelma and Viola.

Jack will be deeply missed by his wife Audry of 62 years; his children, Rick McKinney and wife Carla, Rodney McKinney and wife Brenda, Ralph McKinney and wife Karen, Randy McKinney and wife Sonya all of Owensville and Marilyn Tindall and husband Dennis of Mountain Home, Ark.; grandchildren, Ty and wife Hannah of Owensville, Micah and wife Callie of Wynne, Ark., Caleb and wife Alex of Rosebud, Moriah Ciifton and husband Bryan of Guthrie, Okla., Shay McKinney and Clayton McKinney both of

of Atlanta, Ga.

He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and his church family that loved him. We are better people to have had him in our lives by his great example.

Owensville Church of Christ.

Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Larry Harris officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville with full military honors.
