Richard Wayne Goff departed this life on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Gasconade Manor in Owensville. He had reached the age of 82 years, two months, and 15 days.
Richard was born on April 8, 1935 in Moberly, Missouri, to parents James A. and Ruby (Houchins) Goff. He was united in marriage to Lois L. Fusselman of Moberly at St. Rose of Lima Church, Quincy, Illinois on February 19, 1955. He was employed with Brown Shoe Company from 1952 through 1995 as a Machinery Specialist traveling to most factories on machinery repairs. He began his Brown Shoe employment in Moberly, then to Vincennes, Indiana, Litchfield, Illinois, Fredericktwon and Brookfield, Missouri, and later to Owensville in 1968 living there for 49 years. He retired when most of the factories of Brown Shoe Co. were closed. After retiring, he spent 10 years working with his son in carpentry building homes in Columbia, Mo. His later years were enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and he enjoyed sales and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parent's, James A. and Ruby Goff; a brother, Charles Goff; a sister, Martha Bussen; a son, Allan Goff and a granddaughter, Angela Sieckmann.
He is survived by his wife, Lois of 62 years; by sons,Thomas Goff and wife Eve of Omaha, Nebraska, and Richard D. Goff and wife Vera of Columbia, Missouri; daughters, Jo Ann Cramer and husband Merlin of Hermann, Missouri, Anita Schulte and husband Dale of Bay, Missouri, and Sharon Nowack and husband Ron of Owensville; daughter-in-law, Belinda Skornia Goff of Fenton, Missouri; 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 26 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Owensville. Visitation will be Sunday, June 25 from 1 to 5 PM at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
