Obituary
Annette Margaret Berger, 92, of Owensville, Mo., departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.

Annette (Anne) was born on February 22, 1925, in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire, England, UK to the late Wilfred and Annette (Ellis) Bridges. Anne was educated in England and graduated from Business College. She served her country (United Kingdom) in Her Majesty's Land Army Agro Div. during WWII, In 1944 she married Melvin A. Langenberg, a young American soldier from Missouri. In 1946 Anne came to the USA as a British war bride. They lived in Missouri for a number of years before moving to Victoria, Texas, where she and Melvin both worked for the Victoria Advocate Newspaper. It was in Texas where Anne became a naturalized US Citizen. They purchased and operated multiple Laundry and Dry Cleaning businesses until the untimely death of Melvin in 1968. Anne moved the family from Victoria, Texas, to the Houston area where she met and married Anthony Grawey in 1972. She remained in the greater Houston area after her second husband's death (1996) until she married Amos Berger and moved to Owensville. They spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and the rest of the time in Missouri. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, "Nana" and friend who loved life. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized as a Christian. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first two husbands; brother, Anthony D. Bridges in 1985; daughter-in-law, Dianne Langenberg in 1988; son, Christopher M. Langenberg in 2010.

Her survivors include her husband, Amos of the home; sons, Anthony D. Langenberg of Florida and David P. Langenberg and wife Jennifer G. of Texas; daughter, Jennifer A. Turbeville and husband Ric of Texas; grandchildren, Ana Marie Garza and Rachel; Michael Langenberg and wife Bertha; Melvin A. Langenberg and wife Toya; Scott Langenberg; Brandi Majeska and husband Brent; Kristi King and Adam; David J. Langenberg and wife Angela; Summer N. Rottinger and husband Jason; Chelsea M. Smith and husband Henry, Katherine Franco, and Cynthia Maldonado; and numerous great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 16 from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel with Rev. Van Lahmeyer and Rev. Terry Knight officiating. Burial will be in St. James United Church of Christ Cemetery in Charlotte.
