Obituary
Raymond Charles Fryer of Owensville departed this life on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Owensville, MO. He had reached the age of 86 years, nine months, and three days.

Ray was born in Pacific, MO on February 3, 1931 a son of Elva (Meyer) and Pierce Fryer. He was united in marriage to Norma Albertson on January 8, 1954 at Valley Park, MO.

Ray was in the timber industry for 50 + years. He enjoyed his family and grand-kids in his later years. He also loved gardening and buying and selling vehicles. He was a very proud veteran of the Korean War and a life member of Owensville VFW Post 6133, and will be buried with full Military Honors. He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elva (Meyer) and Pierce Fryer; his wife, Norma (Albertson) Fryer, one grandson, Dan Smith; his brother, Robert Fryer, Jesse Fryer, and Pierce Fryer, Jr. ; and a sister, Helen Neider.

His survivors include his; two sons, Raymond Fryer of Owensville, Steven and fiancé Cheryl of Gerald; two daughters, Ginger Smith and husband Gary of Gerald and Janice Specker and husband Thomas of Beaufort; one brother, Eugene Fryer of St. Clair and one sister Jayne Tyler of Ellisville, MO; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 9, at 11:00 AM at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville with Brother Terry Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Hendrix Cemetery in Stanton, MO. Visitation will begin at 8:30 to 11 AM Thursday, November 9 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home. There will be a VFW service preceding the funeral.
