Eugene Lester Renick, 80, of Bland, Mo. passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at his residence.
Eugene was born on June 28, 1937, in St. Louis to the late Eugene H. and Gladys (McCune) Renick. In 1956 in St. Louis he was united in marriage to Doris Tindall and had two children Steven and Teresa. Eugene then later married Judy Buchanan.
Eugene was retired and resided at his farm in Bland. He loved working the land on the farm and riding horses. He enjoyed fishing, hunting for many years. But his favorite was cooking and eating at the many restaurants in the St. Louis area. The Italian Hill was always top of the list.
He was preceded in death by parents; his wife, Judy; and son, Steven Renick.
His survivors include his daughter, Teresa Merrell; sister, Patricia Reid and husband Robert of Webster Groves and sister, Sybil Peters and husband John of Alaska; brother, Kurt Renick and wife Catherine of Loveland, Col.; and six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Until we meet again with Jesus.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Belle.
Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Vicar David Roth officiating.
Lunch will be served after the service.
