Robert Louis Landwehr, 91, of Owensville, Mo. passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
Robert was born in Bem on February. 24, 1926, to George and Flora (Stock) Landwehr. On June 5, 1948, at United Church of Christ in Bland he was united in marriage to Evonell Ann Sicht. He had served his country with the United States Navy serving in Okinawa during World War II. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Bem, Owensville Masonic Lodge #623, Owensville VFW Post #6133 and Owensville Chamber of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Flora Landwehr; wife, Evonell Ann Landwehr; daughter, Patti Niebruegge; sister, Doris Green; and brothers, Ralph, Maurice and DuWayne Landwehr.
His survivors include his son, Mark Landwehr and wife Karen of Wildwood; siblings, Phyllis Murta and husband Robert of Mexico, Mo., Carl Landwehr and wife Sandy of Owensville, Lois Ruffner of Owensville and Barb Schroepfer of Washington; grandchildren, Maria Long and husband Gary of Wildwood, JoAnn Cornman and husband Dustin of Bourbon, Amanda Landwehr of University City, Matthew Landwehr and wife Meghan of Wildwood and Jennifer Hanebrink and husband Tom of St. Peter's; and great-grandchildren, Ainsley and Avalyn Long, Jake, Zach and Abbi Hanebrink, Chase Wattler, Brianna Cornman and Jase Strack.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 23 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, December 24 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Bem with Rev. Dr. Heather M. Arcovitch officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville City Cemetery with full military honors.
