Obituary
Leonard W. "Corker" Sickendick, 97, of Gerald, Mo., passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at New Haven Care Center.

Leonard was born on September 19, 1920, in Gerald to Julius and Myrtle (Brauks) Sickendick. On October 3, 1948, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald he was united in marriage to Corinne Borror. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. He had served his country with the United States Army where he was a tank commander during World War II serving in France, Germany, Austria and Italy. His service earned him a Bronze Star.

He was preceded in death by parents, Julius and Myrtle Sickendick; wife, Corinne Sickendick; brother, Leon "Snooky" Sickendick and son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Warren.

His survivors include his daughters, Annette Warren of Washington and Paula Hoener of New Haven; brother, LeBron "Kayo" Sickendick and wife Almeda of Washington; grandchildren, Josh Hoener and wife Jaime of New Haven, Katie Hoener of Chamois and Joe Warren and wife Maria of Kyle, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Haley and Wyatt Kottwitz, Lucy and Maggie Hoener and Leonora Warren.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 19 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald.

Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Glenn Hollander officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
