Kenneth Paul Bohl of Rosebud departed this life into the loving arms of Jesus Friday, February 16, 2018 at Gasconade Manor in Owensville. He had reached the age of 84 years, two months, and 19 days.
Kenneth was born in Pershing, MO on November 28, 1933 to Victor and Olive (Von Behren) Bohl. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Wehmeyer on June 27, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this summer. Kenneth was a very devoted christian and family man. He enjoyed gardening, telling jokes, playing cards, pulling humorous pranks on friends, and barbecuing for family gatherings. Ken worked in construction for over 50 years. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud and was the pancake maker at the annual Easter breakfast for many years, mayor of Rosebud for 18 years, and a member of the Rosebud Community Park for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Olive Bohl; his brother, David Bohl; his sister-in-law, Viola Bohl, and grandson, Christopher Bohl.
He is survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bohl of Rosebud; his three sons, Kenton Bohl and wife Denise of Owensville, Jeffrey Bohl and wife Rhonda of Rosebud, Keith Bohl and wife Pam of Taos, MO; two daughters, Donna Czeschin and husband Charles of Owensville, and Tina Brauks and husband Gary of Rosebud; two brothers, Marvin Bohl and wife Lucy, and Daniel Bohl both of Hermann; 13 grandchildren, Vincent Bohl, Blake Bohl and friend Kelsey Jahnsen, Katie Rogers and husband Cody, Leah Bohl and fiancé J.J. Leight, Ryan Bohl and wife Sarah, Nathan Bohl, Kayla Haslag and husband Skylor, Jesse Janssen and wife Kelsey, Janna Janssen and friend Tyler Griffith, Zachary Brauks and wife Erin, Angie Beaty and husband Matthew, Brad Czeschin and wife Kiley, and Wendy Mehrhoff and husband Jason; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 20 at 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud with Reverend Joel Pike officiating. Christian burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Rosebud. Visitation will be Monday, February 19 from 4 to 8 pm at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
