Obituary
Lyman Dale Cook Jr., 94, of Owensville, Mo., entered eternal glory with Jesus on February 22, 2018.

He was born on January 5, 1924, in Arkansas, Kan., to Lyman Dale Sr. and Lillian (Harmon) Cook. On March 24, 1945, in Jacksonville, Fla., he was united in marriage to Joyce Anne Staley.

Lyman was an elder at New Port Presbyterian Church in Washington, Mo., for over 20 years and helped start Redeeming Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Owensville.

He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II and the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a dentist by profession, and was a man of many talents and interests who excelled at whatever he put his mind to. He will be missed but we rejoice with him in his unending joy in heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman Dale Sr. and Lillian Cook.

He is survived by his children, Catherine Anne and husband James Huckins of Columbia, Lyman Dale Cook III and wife Karan of Republic, Patricia Anne Compton and husband Gary of Joplin and Nancy Anne Jensen and husband Rick of Owensville; sister, Jean Seymour of Ramsay, Mont.; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 2 from 10-11 a.m. at New Port Church in Washington.

Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Tim Herrera officiating. Burial will be in the New Port Church Cemetery.
