William (Bill) Eugene Wacker of Owensville departed this life on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Gasconade Manor in Owensville. He had reached the age of 80 years, three months, and 15 days.

He was born on January 24, 1938 at Owensville to Clarence and Flora (Buddemeyer) Wacker.

He was united in marriage to Glenda Rae Scheel on October 1, 1983 in Owensville.

Bill was a truck driver since the age of 14 years old and made a career in the truck driving industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and riding horses.

He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church of Owensville. He served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Flora Wacker; three brothers, Daniel, Norman (Bud), and Ronald Wacker; and one sister, Glenda Brodkey.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wacker of Owensville; four children, Jeffrey Wisdom and wife Jackie of St. James, Briana Decker and husband Daryl “Hootie” of Owensville, Brett Wacker and wife Tracy of Knapp, WI, and Sonya Littrell and husband Joe of Owensville; 13 grandchildren, Joel Littrell of Creve Coeur, MO, Ashley Wisdom-Copenhaver and husband Jered of St. James, Dalton Littrell of Owensville, Chelsea Wisdom of St. James, Chantel Littrell of Owensville, Felicia Light and husband Daren of Belle, Christina Rademacher and husband Simon of Bland, Brian Decker and wife Angela of Owensville, Beau Decker of Maryland Heights, MO, Christopher Decker of Waukesha, WI, Colbie Wacker and wife Kristen of Jacksonville, FL, Jessica Gooch and husband Trawn of Jacksonville, FL, Reese Wacker and wife Katie of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Gary Wacker and wife Janie of Richmond, TX and Jon Wacker and wife Carol of Folsom, CA; one sister, Mary Rogers of Arizona City, AZ; two sister-in-laws, Diann Wacker of Owensville and Rena Wacker of Palenstine, TX; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 12 from 9 AM to 2 PM at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at the Chapel with Rev. Tom Denton officiating. He will be buried with full military honors at Countryside Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Owensville.
