Bruce Dale Angell, 77, of Gerald, Mo., died on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Gamma Road Lodge Nursing Home in Wellsville.
He was born on October 14, 1940, to Leslie and Ella (Cope) Angell at Alton, Ill.
He was united in marriage to Dixie Marie Mesger on July 9, 1960, at Beaufort.
Bruce was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. He had served his country with the United States Marie Corp. He was a member and president of the Gerald Bridle and Saddle Club. He helped build the MFA Bulk Plant where he was later employed then he worked at Bull Moose at Gerald for 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Ella Angell; brothers, Bill, Frank and Chuck Angell; sisters, Mary, Mickey, Katherine, Linda Fay, Margaret and Edna; brothers-in-law, Charles, Ralph, Ollie, Kenny, Gene, Ralph, Sonny, Lester and Joe; and sisters-in-law, Marsha, Margie, June and Shirley.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Angell of the home; children, James Angell and wife Denise of Gerald, Rick Angell and wife Lori of Rosebud, Sherry Gooch and husband Tim of Gerald; brother, John Angell and wife Kathy of Gerald; sisters-in-laws, Fay Angell of Leslie, Ginny Angell/Kase of Union, Connie Angell Luther of Cuba and Donna May Prebianca of St. James; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Hollander officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with full military honors.
