Douglas Chris Sarchette, 64, of Bland, Mo., passed away on Sat. Sept. 15, 2018.
He was born on June 30, 1954, to Bert Thomas and Mette (Skouby) Sarchette at St. Louis.
Douglas was a contractor for residential and commercial construction. He enjoyed trading horses and being active on Facebook. He was very outspoken and passionate about politics.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Mette Sarchette; and brothers, Dennis and Charles Kevin Sarchette.
He is survived by his sons, Clinton Sarchette and wife Jessica of Leslie and Rocky Sarchette of Maryville, Ill.; daughters, Chrissy Maddox of Fulton, Amber Shanks and husband Jimmy of Owensville and Jerica Hays of Bland; brother, Bert Sarchette and wife Rose of Bland; sister Vicki Casteel and husband Donald of Rolla; 12 grandchildren; Taylor, Tristan, Ethan, Devas, Preston, Trenton, Brooklyn, Charlie, Skylar, Chevy, CJ and Cooper; aunts, Kathleen Dahl of High Gate and Adelia Welch of St. James; special friend, Michelle Corrigan of Bland; mothers of his children, Carol Adkins of Bland and Cheron Vandegriffe and special friend, Tim Davis of Edgar Springs.
Graveside services will be on Wed. Sept. 19 at 12 noon at High Gate Baptist Cemetery at High Gate with Pastor Terry Geiler officiating.
