Obituary
Lorene Margaret Withouse of Owensville departed this life on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Gasconade Manor in Owensville. She had reached the age of 95 years, nine months, and 15 days.

She was born in Belle, Mo. on January 4, 1923 a daughter to the late Curtis and Martha (Moman) Shockley.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Withouse on Nov. 16, 1940 at Steelville, Mo.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle and attended there for over 70 years. She was a member of the “Willing Workers” at the First Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her family. She was a member of the Belle Bridal & Saddle Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Withouse; one son, Christopher Withouse; her son's-in-law, Ronald Aytes and LeRoy Dohse; three brothers, Clarence, Clyde, and Clinton Shockley; and two sisters, Etta Rowe and Grace Campbell.

Her survivors include her children, Patricia “Pat” Dohse of Owensville, Peggy Aytes and special friend, Glenn Aytes of Owensville, Mike Withouse and wife Mary of Evanston, WY, and Suzanne Hoffman of West Jordan, UT; thirteen grandchildren, Mark Dohse and wife Christine of Union, Matthew Dohse and wife Laurie of Union, David Aytes of Owensville, Steven Aytes of Owensville, Curtis Aytes and wife Christina of Owensville, Rachel Pearson and husband Chance of Westminister, CO, Gabriel Withouse and wife Krista of Whitewater, CO, Nathaniel Withouse and wife Michelle of Fruita, CO, Jesse Withouse and wife Angela of Parachute, CO, Michael Withouse and Kelsey of Tomball, TX, Larry Hoffman of West Jordan, UT, Amelia Hoffman of West Jordan, UT, and Tyler Withouse of Evanston, WY, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home of Owensville from 4 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Nick Geisert officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Belle.
