Obituary
Anna Mae (Hudson) Duncan, 89, of Leslie, Mo., passed from this life to be with the Lord, June 3, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1930, to Robert Dewey and Myrtle Mazie (Buckner) Hudson the second of eight children. She graduated from Licking High School in Licking, Mo., which was quite an accomplishment for her generation.

She was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Duncan on Aug. 1, 1948, at Wichita Falls, Tex.  She always said that Bobby Joe was the love of her life.

Anna Mae was a dedicated, faithful member, and pillar of Glencoe Community Church of God of Catawissa for 51 years. Anna Mae received salvation and the Holy Ghost at an early age.  From the time God saved her she dedicated her life to God. She loved her family and her church family never being partial.  She loved with the great love of God.  He gave her great talent and she played the piano, guitar and mandolin in church for many years.   She was a wonderful mother, teacher, guide, minister, friend and spiritual leader! Anna loved God’s word and loved to sing. She always had a song in her heart and was always ready to Praise God and tell of his wonderful love and mercy to her.  She was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Her love and care for everyone she met was unconditional love. What a great example of God’s boundless love to all.  She felt her greatest accomplishment in this life was her children and family. Anna was strong and invaluable to us all.  She made due with whatever life dealt her with the help of the Father. She also loved to cook and sew making many quilts and clothing. She also loved to be outside and was content just to sit and watch the beauty God gives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myrtle Hudson; husband, Bobby Joe; son, Dewey; grandchildren, Jamie, Bryan, and Travis; brothers, Marvin, James, Bobby, Truman, and Floyd; sister, Mary; sisters-in-law, Gueneva and Maxine; brother-in-law, Star; nephews, Vernon and Truman Hudson.
