Joan Jean Holt of Owensville, MO passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Washington. She had reached the age of 76 years, five months, and 16 days.
Joan was born in Rhineland on January 22, 1940, to the late John and Hilda (Pottebaum) Van Booven. On September 17, 1960, in Owensville she was united in marriage to Gregory Holt. They made their home in St. Louis before retiring to Owensville. She was an accountant for Ticor Title for 28 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville; Our Lady's Sodality; and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time she loved to travel and be around family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gregory.
Her survivors include her children, Lynn Holt of Owensville, Troy Holt and wife, Susan of St. Louis, and Todd Hold and wife, Terri of Powhatan, Virginia; sister, Marlene Sullentrup of Washington; brother, Ronald Van Booven and wife, Pat of Columbia; grandchildren, Jeremey Holt, Brandon and Cameron Holt, Haley and Nick Holt, and Katie Blount; great-grandchildren, Zane, Colton, and Addie Blount; and many other family and friends.
