Darlene May Stradford, 83, of Owensville, Mo. passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her granddaughter's home in Belle, Mo.

Darlene May Stradford was born in Washington, Mo. on March 12, 1936 a daughter of Ora Clifton and Ida May (Rogers) Jett.

She was united in marriage on November 13, 1954 in St. Louis, Mo. to Stanley Stradford.

She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Owensville. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Ida Jett; her grandmother, Mary Jett who raised her after her parents died, her husband, Stanley Stradford; a son, Roger Stradford; and daughter, Carolyn Stradford-Smith; brothers, Dale Jett and Robert Jett; and sisters, Eunice Hollandsworth and twin sister, Eileen Metzger.

Her survivors include her daughter, Connie Stradford of Owensville; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Elvina Reithemeyer of Foley, Mo. and Darlene Shoemaker and husband Doyle of Lonedell, Mo.; brother-in-law, Charles Stradford of Elsberry, Mo.; five grandchildren, Tasha Leake, Erica Smith and husband Justin, Travis Leake, Toni Landrus and husband Travis, and Courtney Abel and husband Nathan; and twelve great-grandchildren, Skylar Smith, Levi Lusk, Alexis Leake, Jaden Leake, Tyler Lusk, Gavin Leake, Halle Smith, Baylar Smith, Brylan Leake, Madison Leake, Gracie Mahaney, and Carson Mahaney.

Visitation will be Friday, August 30 from 4 to 8 pm at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10 am at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Kurrlemeyer officiating. Burial will be at Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
