Obituary
Meta Irma Wehmeyer of St. Louis County, Missouri formerly of Rosebud departed this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Aperion Care Hidden Lake in St. Louis County, Missouri. She had reached the age of 102 years, one month, and 25 days.

Meta Irma Wehmeyer was born on November 14, 1917 a daughter of the late Rudolph and Minnie (Grossheider) Rohde.

She was united in marriage to George H. Wehmeyer on May 21, 1944 in Friedheim, Mo.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church since 1944. She was a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and canning and teaching the kids how to cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Wehmeyer; one son, Donald Wehmeyer; one brother, Edgar Rohde; and one sister, Ruth Petzoldt.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Wehmeyer and wife Lois of Spanish Lake, Missouri; one daughter, Merle Jean Wehmeyer of Spanish Lake; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Wehmeyer of Lake St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Melanie Francisco and husband John, Andrew Wehmeyer and wife Andrea, Christopher Wehmeyer and wife Brooke, Jennifer Wehmeyer, Allison Wehmeyer, Melissa Maxfield and husband Bill, and Kimberly Roberts and husband Cary; and twelve great-grandchildren, Camden Francisco, Carson Francisco, Baylie Wehmeyer, Micah Wehmeyer, Nolan Wehmeyer, Luke Wehmeyer, Claire Roberts, Owen Roberts, Ava Roberts, Ella Roberts, Will Maxfield, and Grant Maxfield.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, January 18 at St. John's Lutheran Church at Charlotte, Mo.

Funeral services will follow at 11 AM on Saturday, January 18 at St. John's Lutheran Church at Charlotte with Rev. Paul Landgraf officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery at Charlotte.
