Richard Alfred Wehmeyer, 80, of Rosebud, Mo., passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at his residence.
Richard was born on May 25, 1936, in Rosebud to the late Alfred and Edna (Koester) Wehmeyer. On October 28, 1961 in Rosebud at Immanuel Lutheran he was united in marriage to Sandra Brandt. He served his country with the United States Army. He was a foreman for a Clay Mining Co. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud, Rosebud Park and Rosebud Lions.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wehmeyer and brother-in-law, William Westermann.
His survivors include his wife, Sandra of the home; children, Lynn Kurrelmeyer and husband Dale and Jennifer Elfline and husband, Robert all of Rosebud; brothers, Raymond Wehmeyer and wife, Darlene of Owensville, Ronald Wehmeyer and wife, Norma of Rosebud and Russell Wehmeyer and wife, Janie of Owensville; sister, Berniece Westermann of Leslie; sister-in-law, Melba Wehmeyer of Washington; and by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6 from 1-5 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
Funeral services will be on Monday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud with Pastor David Rawlings officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
