William Charles Griffith, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at his residence.

William was born on August 5, 1931, in Sedalia to the late Roy Emmett and Tucker (Pollard) Griffith. On January 29, 1971, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Owensville he was united in marriage to Carol Grannemann. He served his country with the National Guard. He was a plumber by trade and a past member of Plumber Local #317, a past member of Owensville Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed traveling with Carol and playing golf.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, H.C., Edgar, Glen, and twin brother Robert Griffith.

His survivors include his wife, Carol Jean Griffith of the home; son, Jeff Griffith of Owensville, daughters, Wendy Griffith-Welker and husband, Jeremy of Fenton, Lesli Griffith Scharborough of Washington State; grandchildren, Lindsey Griffith-Heidbrink and husband, Corey, Lori Griffith-Thompson and husband, Patrick, Dylan Welker, Jodie Welker, and Jacob Scharbrough; great-grandchildren, Brock and Burke Heidbrink, Brenner and Ryleigh Thompson.

His body was cremated and will be interred at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens in Hermann.
