Delmar Arthur Kamper, 84, of Gerald, Mo., departed this life on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on June 17, 1935, to Arthur Henry and Elsie Mary (Holtgrewe) Kamper in Gerald.
He was united in marriage to Peggy Hook on July 21, 1959, in Seoul, Korea.
Delmar had served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church and Owensville VFW Post 6133. He enjoyed farming, coon hunting, fishing and riding his ATV on the farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elsie Kamper and brother, Victor Kamper.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Kamper of the home; brother, Donald Kamper and wife Gloria of Gerald; sister, Laverne Lunsford and husband Corb "Cotton" of Gerald; sister-in-law, Jung Bok of Pacific; and four nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 8 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Gerald.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Ebenezer Stone Church with Roger Johnson as the officiant. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with full military honors.
