Edward Robert Rose, 90, of Bland passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
Edward was born on August 28, 1926, in Rosebud to the late William and Anna (Schonhoff) Rose. On April 15, 1950, in Leslie he was united in marriage to Mildred L. Tegeler. He served his country with the United States Army receiving the Army Occupation Medal (Germany) and the World War II Victory Ribbon. He was a member of VFW Post 6133.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; son, Robert Rose; and by Sue Ann Frolker; brothers, Leo, Bill, Richard, Joseph and Walter Rose; and sisters, Ruth Miller, Dorothy Korff, Helen West and Mary Rousset.
His survivors include his daughter, Debra Nash and husband Larry of Rolla; brother, Carl Rose and wife, Diana of Bland; sister, Bernice Ketterer of O'Fallon; grandchildren, Amanda Whistler and husband, Jeremy, Aleshia Henson and husband, Scott, Alanna Klouzek and husband, Josh, Beth Barton and husband, Shawn, Vicki Cook and husband, Sam and Andrew Rose; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cheyenne, Kaleb, Andrew, Maddison, Maci Rose, Ava, Max and Isaac; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 15 from 8:30 11:00 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jason Brown officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
