Ralph James Eads of Leslie, departed this life on Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home in Leslie. He had reached the age of 71 years, three months, and 28 days.
Ralph was born in Washington, MO on September 12, 1945, a son to Alfred J. and Evelyn Marie (Seamon) Eads. He was united in marriage to Patricia Mann on November 29, 1969 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church at Port Hudson, MO. He worked in the auto industry and was a member of UAW Local 110. He was very involved with his children in 4-H, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren at the fair. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Haven.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Eads and his father, Alfred J. Eads.
His survivors include his wife, Patricia (Mann) Eads of Leslie; his mother, Evelyn Eads of Union; one daughter, Kimberly Gerding and husband Dale of Union; one son, James Eads and wife Devin of Leslie; two brothers, Norman Eads and wife Kay of Union, Hershall Eads and wife Gwenn of Beaufort; sister-in-law, Judy Hubenthal and husband Phil of Beaufort and sister-in-law, Amy Strubberg of Union; and six grandchildren, Danielle and Derick Gerding, Karson, Kalyssa, Kamille, and Karrigan Eads.
Funeral services are Friday, January 13, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Haven at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Ehrhard officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Gerald from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery at Port Hudson.
