Obituary
Charles Gregory Hiatt, Sr. 77, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born June 22, 1944, to John and Madeline (Stockamp) Hiatt in St. Louis.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Owen Jan. 15, 1965, in St. Louis.

Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising/selling feathered animals (pigeons), and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Madeline; granddaughter, Brandi Hiatt; brother, John Hiatt; sister, Bernice Day; brothers-in-law, Jack Ingoldsby, Jesse Blalack and Joe Cremeens; sister-in-law, Carmen Hiatt; and nephews, Jesse "Boo" Blalack and Tommy Hiatt.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; children, Patty Mayfield and husband Bob and Charles "Charlie" Hiatt, Jr. and wife Amy all of Owensville; brother, James "Butch" Hiatt and wife Donna of Hillsboro; sisters, Shirley Fitzgerald and husband Donald of Horine, Genevieve Ingoldsby of Fenton, Emma Blalack of Arnold and Judy Cremeens of Festus; grandchildren, Shayla Vaughn and husband Dalton of Owensville, Kaitlin Hiatt and significant other Cody Howard of Rosebud and Brandon Hiatt and significant other Christina Becker of Owensville; and great-grandchildren, Charleigh Hiatt, Denton Vaughn, Colt Howard and bonus grandchild, Emmett Farley.

Visitation will be Friday, July 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
