Dale Hardon Boyer, 75, of Gerald, Mo. passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville.
Dale was born in Poplar Bluff on October 27, 1941, to the late Earl and Ruth (Condray) Boyer. On April 24, 1976 in St. Louis he was united in marriage to Leona Kathryn Gowen. He served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict receiving the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars; Sharpshooter (Rifle) Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Combat Medical Badge; and Bronze Star Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona Boyer; brothers, Everett Boyer, Paul Boyer and Peck Boyer; and sisters, Edna Buttrey and Baby Jane Boyer.
His survivors include his children, Kimberly Reynolds and husband Jeffrey of Gerald, Tawnya Halloran and husband Danny of Leslie and Phillip Boyer and wife Colleen of Gerald; sister, Betty Sweezea of Union; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel in Owensville with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Boeuff Presbyterian Cemetery in Gerald with full military honors.
