Obituary
Jo Ann Mae Birkel, 81, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at her residence.
She was born March 21, 1940, to Oscar and Lucille (Fleck) Zwolanek in West Liberty, Iowa.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lucille; daughter, Julieanna Rasque; son, Todd Rasque; granddaughter, Alisha Rasque; brothers, Billy and Bobby Zwolanek; and sisters, Mary Shemak, Peggy Zwolanek and Betty Loeffelholz.
She is survived by her daughter, Hope Rasque of St. Louis; granddaughter, Ciara Kennell of Belle; and great-grandchildren, Savannah Rasque, Jordan Frankenberg, Thara and Zayda Kennell.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 26 from 4-7 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Frank Jefferson officiating. Her body will then be cremated.
