Obituary

Nancy Lynn Souders, 46, of Rosebud, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

She was born Dec. 16, 1975, to John Paul and Nelle (Smith) Zuroweste in Washington.

She was united in marriage to John Souders June 25, 1994, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud.

Nancy enjoyed going to her kid's activities with 4-H, cattle shows, ball games and spending time with family. She was always willing to offer a helping hand or donate to youth organizations such as Missouri Junior Hereford Association and the Gasconade County Fair. Any free weekend was typically spent at the river with family and friends, along with taking long boat rides with her dog right by her side. Loved ones and friends will always remember Nancy by her smile, laugh, honesty, and fun personality.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Paul.

She is survived by her husband, John of their home; mother, Nelle Zuroweste of Rosebud, parents-in-law, Carl and Karen Souders of Owensville; children, Tyler Souders and fiancé Sassy Ponder and Dakota Souders and fiancé Ethan Grellner all of Rosebud; and brother, Ralph Zuroweste and wife Janet of Swiss.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 21 at 10 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Ron Koppelmann officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Drake.
