Obituary

 Michael Edward Sands Sr., 71, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born Oct. 15, 1950, to Thomas and Doris (Queen) Sands in Rolla.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Jean Sewell Feb. 12, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nev.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Doris; wife, Patricia; daughter, Lori Sands; and brother, Larry Sands.

He is survived by his son, Michael Sands Jr. and wife Mary of Owensville; brothers, Ricky Sands of Rolla, Steve Sands of Springfield and Jerry Sands, of Jefferson City; sister, Charlotte Sands of Newburg; and grandchildren, Liberty and Seth Sands.

His body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
