Obituary

Thomas Nelson Haight, 85, of Beaufort, Mo., passed away Sun., Aug. 21, 2022, at Community Care Center of Union.

He was born May 21, 1937, to Arthur and Emma (Galya) Haight in Detroit, Mich.

He was united in marriage to Virginia Vosbrink, May 7, 1960, at Ebenezer Stone Church in Gerald. Thomas was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He loved fishing, metal detecting, hunting, and collecting rocks in which he used to make jewelry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Emma Haight; sisters, Marie Mintner, Anna May Beier, Maxine Cathcart, and Bonnie Lahmann; and brothers, Mack McCrocklin, and Ray McCrocklin.

His survivors include his wife, Virginia (Vosbrink) Haight; daughter, Carolyn Feth and husband Terry of Beaufort; sisters-in-law, Marla McCrocklin from Mont. and Joyce McCrocklin from Ala.; brothers-in-law, Bill Vosbrink and wife Cindy of Gerald, Chester Lahmann from Sullivan, and Lowell Winters and wife Barb of Labadie; and grandchildren, Curtis Feth and Kacey Feth.

Visitation will be Thurs., Aug. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Gerald.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Lahmann, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Stone Church Cemetery outside of Gerald.
