Norma June Schulte, 77, of Owensville, Mo., passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with her family by her side.

She was born June 5, 1945, to Frank and Florence (Holzschuh) Wehmeyer.

She was united in marriage to Elmer E. Schulte Jr. Oct. 8, 1960, in Rosebud.

Norma attended Owensville Christian Church in Owensville and was a member of Mt. Sterling Fire Dept. Auxiliary Station 2 in Mt. Sterling. She enjoyed her time spent at 55 and over in Belle, going to garage sales and auctions. She greatly enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cooking meals and spending time together as a family brought her so much joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florence; son, Kevin Schulte; twin granddaughters, Nichole and Alexandria Schulte; siblings, Velda Branson, Elvin Wehmeyer, Wanda Haddox, Franklin Wehmeyer and Vivian Schulte.

She is survived by her husband Elmer of their home; son, Kurt Schulte and wife Cathy of Owensville; granddaughters, Melissa Hulsey and husband Garrett of Sullivan and Michelle Conrad and husband Andrew of Eureka; step grandchildren, Jackson Logan of Hermann, Kenzie Gard of Houston, Texas and Madison Gard of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Havannah and Shay Hulsey, Cole and Kevin Conrad; step great-grandchildren, JT Gramke and Connor Logan; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Pastor Patric Klingforth officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
