Obituary

Brenda Sue Wieda, 74, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at Stonebridge of Owensville.

She was born May 11, 1948, to Staton and Fannie Mae (Sherrill) Brasher in Manila, Ark.

She was united in marriage to John Wieda March 26, 1966, in St. Louis

Brenda enjoyed putting on garage sales, spending time with family, traveling around the country, playing bingo, cards and going to the casinos to gamble.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Staton and Fannie; husband, John; and siblings, Bill Brasher, Wanda Curcio and Betty Romine

She is survived by her children, Ricky Wieda of Gerald, John William Wieda Jr. and wife Jennifer of St. Clair and Sherry Nelms of Rosebud; sister-in-law, Marie Brasher of Clairemore, Okla.; grandchildren, Lynde Mantels and wife Jordan of Owensville, Richard Nelms and wife Mariah of Crestview, Fla. and Amber Nelms of Leslie; and great-grandchildren, Gavin and Grace Mantels.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1-5 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Gerald.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Dec. 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Palestine Cemetery in Cave City, Ark. with Pastor Allen Brown officiating.
