Obituary

Josephine Elaine Bunton, 93, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.

She was born Nov. 5, 1929, to Robert J. and Naomi (Wickering) Twigg in Tacoma, Wash.

She was united in marriage to Leonard Bunton Feb. 13, 1947, in Seattle, Wash.

Josephine was a member of First Baptist Church for 75 years.  She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, singing in the choir and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Naomi; husband, Leonard; brother, Robert Twigg; sisters, Mary Twigg, Mildred Greene and Teddy Twigg; grandson, Scott Lansford; great-granddaughter, Whitney Campbell; and sons-in-law, Dorsey "Jay" Campbell and David Perfecto.

She is survived by her children, Ray Bunton and wife Martha, Elaine Campbell, Dorothy Perfecto and Mae Lansford  and husband Bob all of Owensville;  grandsons, Toby Campbell and wife Connie, Terry Bunton and wife Raquel, Danny Campbell and Shon Lansford; granddaughters, Toni Reid and husband Rodger.  Jamie Curtman and husband Matt, Amanda Horstmann and husband Wyatt, Tracy Sovar and husband Steve, Bobbie Tripoli and husband Michael, Leeann Bryant and Kelly Kustermann and husband Todd; and 32 great-grandchildren and 15 great, great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 12 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.

Funeral services will be Tuesday,  Dec. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.  Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
