Edgar Fred Theodore Brehe, 88, of Bay, Mo. passed away on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at his residence, the family farm.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1932, to Theodore and Olga (Meyer) Brehe on the family farm on Second Creek near Bay.

He was united in marriage to Janice Schneider on May 2, 1964 at St. Paul's Church in Bay.

Edgar was a member of Zion St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Bay.  He  was a graduate of OHS Class of 1950 and a member of the Missouri Farm Bureau where he had served as president for Gasconade County. He treasured his life long career as a farmer enjoying all the features of farming. He highly valued his family and the friendships he made playing slow pitch softball and driving the school bus. He enjoyed being amongst people and never really met a stranger. To our knowledge, being six feet nine inches tall, he was the tallest person to play basketball for the Dutchmen at OHS.

He was preceded in death by his wire, Janice Brehe; parents Theodore and Olga Brehe; parents-in-laws, Arthur and Myrtle Schneider; son, Lee Fred Brehe in infancy; brothers-in-law, A.D. Jeffcoat and Wendell Schneider; and sister-in-law, Ruth Birk.

He is survived by his children, Dale Brehe, Eva Erickson and Ada Brehe-Krueger and husband Paul all of Bay, Betty Klein and husband Jeff of Ennis, Mont. and Carl Brehe and wife Lori of Holts Summit; sister, Wanda Lee Jeffcoat of Lenexa, Kansas; brothers-in-law, Gary Schneider and wife Darla of Bay and Wayne Schneider and wife Sally of Mt. Sterling; sister-in-law, Kaye Schneider of Mt. Sterling; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a special niece, Judy Dale and husband Bob of Lenexa, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Bay with Rev. Darrel Deeker officiating.  Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery in Bay.
