Ronald Gene White, 69, of Owensville, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Union Care Center in Union.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1952, to Frank Willie and Clarice (Mistler) White in Washington.

Ron was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensville where he had accepted Christ as his personal Savior in Oct. 1960. He attended Owensville school system graduating in 1970; attended Central Missouri State University with degrees in Physical Education and Health and Safety graduating in 1974. He was also a member of Owensville Lions Club.

He was an entrepreneur, owning and operating a restaurant business in St. Louis. Later he relocated to Lake of the Ozarks where he and two partners ran an iron and steel supply company. He moved back to Owensville when his mother passed and his dad needed assistance. He worked almost 20 years at the local printing company. During this time he began restoring used computers. He made sure that everyone in the family had access to a desktop and later a laptop computer.

He was a fun loving and big hearted man. Since he had no children, he claimed his nieces and nephews and their families as his children/grandchildren, always keeping up with their activities and bragging about their accomplishments.

He had a huge passion for Mizzou women's sports. He bought season tickets to softball and basketball games with his best friends, Sam and Debbie Bennett. He could tell you about every player and got to know many of their families as well.

Ron was generous to a fault. If he knew that you liked a certain pie or pastry or anything, he would bring you three times what you could possibly eat. A trait inherited from his mother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clarice; four aunts, nine uncles; and many cousins.

He is survived by his brothers, John White and wife Myrna of Springfield and Jim White and wife Sue of Owensville; sisters, Janet Hendrickson and husband Carl of Owensville and Violet Bauer of Springfield; aunt, Geraldine Graham; nephews, Barak White, David Hendrickson, Danny Hendrickson and wife Regina, Daryl Hendrickson, Matthew White and wife Jill; nieces, Karis Amsler and husband Mike, Kris Abdalla and husband Abe, Sarah Junk and husband Aaron; 15 great nieces and nephews; two great, great nieces; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 1 from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 at the chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
