Gladys Olean Garver, 97, of Washington, Mo., formerly of Owensville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

She was born Sept. 1, 1924, to Albert and Nora Ethel (Naugle) Binkholder in Rosebud.

She married Arthur Garver Jan. 15, 1944.

Gladys was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Owensville where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting but most of all spending time with her family and many friends.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Nora; husband, Arthur; sisters, Leola Havener, Maxine Roehl and Alise Renick; and brother, Robert "Bob" Binkholder.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda King and husband Robert and Tonia Garver all of Washington and Vonda Hawkins of Boynton Beach, Fla.; sisters, Eleanor (Fern) Vandegriffe of Gladstone, Ore. and Joyce Danz and husband Forest of Rosebud; brother-in-law, Curtis Renick of Sullivan; grandchildren, Jill Dunlap and husband Brian of St. Genevieve, Elizabeth Hellmann and husband Scott of New Haven, Rochelle Bussa and husband Gary of Ashland, Ky., Thomas Hawkins of Boynton Beach, Fla., Lauren Martin and husband Philip of Washington, Talia Griffin and husband Sean of Gerald and Matthew Jones of Fort Collins, Col.; great-grandchildren, Blake and Chase Dunlap, William and Claire Hellmann, Bryce, Arianna and Zander Bussa, Zayden Garver, Kerrigan, Madelyn and Sean Jr. Griffin and Cooper Martin; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Stephanie DeLong officiating.  Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
