Tracy M. Brown, born July 15, 1930, passed away on October 20, 2021 at his home in rural Franklin County, at the age of 91.

Tracy is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy (nee Ware); daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Michael Byrne of Union; two grandsons, Matthew (Rebecca) Byrne and Timothy (Mary Ellen) Byrne; and three great-granddaughters, Allison, Abby, and Zoey. He is also mourned by Patti Griefe, who assisted with home care during the final months of Mr. Brown’s life.

Following a 32-year career in education, Tracy retired as a junior high school principal in 1980. Three decades later, his alma mater, Western New Mexico University, honored his dedication to his profession by inducting him into the School of Education’s Hall of Fame for his lifetime achievements in education.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Brown’s body was cremated, and his ashes buried in a private service. No additional service is planned.
